WELCOME TO ZEALOUS ENGLISH
Your Virtual EAL Classroom

What is Zealous English?
The name "zealous" or /ˈzeləs/ meaning 'showing great energy and enthusiasm for something, especially because you feel strongly about it' (Oxford) was chosen by my students to represent the idea of being a fervent and passionate English language learner or teacher. If that rings true to you, then you have come to the right place.

Essentially, this website will house blog posts on current teaching topics in middle-years EAL within the Australian curriculum design with links to the F-10 Curriculum . These blog posts ares designed specifically for EAL teachers yet should be accessible to teachers who work across domains. The aim is for my blog posts to be user friendly and targeted towards current areas of need. So if you have any particular needs or areas of interest please feel free to contact me.

An additional YouTube channel under the same title has been created as a student-centred resource with vlog posts to compliment the blog posts I create. For most blog posts, a replica vlog is created designed to engage students in the topic or concept.

Julia is also an experienced presenter on working with EAL students and various curriculum aspects of EAL teaching including middle years and VCE EAL. Please follow the Professional Learning link for further information.
